Thomsen will include a special set of songs inspired by the life and landscape of her childhood and growing up years in Sioux Falls. Her song “108” gives homage to her childhood home on East 20th Street; “The Lily” and “Mother’s Garden” is a tribute to her gardening mother; “Tell Me What Song” is in memory of her father, who shaped her earliest music memories; “Irene Marguerite” honors a great aunt who, along with Sara’s Uncle Mac farmed south of Sioux Falls (Centerville area) for many years. “I Remember These,” written in memory of her poetry writing and lefse making grandmother, chronicles vivid childhood memories.

All this and more will be wafting musically in the air during this luncheon pause amidst the hustle and bustle of Downtown Sioux Falls! Come, get some lunch, bring a chair, and enjoy.
