It’s been a while since I did a blog post like this! I wasn’t planning on doing one, to be honest – so you can thank my wife for asking me to do it! I am sure there will be events I miss – I did a search on about 5 different sites – pulled most of what I found. If there are events out there that I have missed, please let me know! Haunted House Decorating Contest

Ready to put your Halloween-decorated house to the test? Enter the Lake Lorraine Haunted House Decorating Contest!
This contest is open to anyone in the Sioux Falls area and there is NO COST to participate in the Haunted House Decorating Contest. Your entry gives Lake Lorraine/Friessen Development, Inc. permission to publicize your address and photo.
All entries will be shared — a great family activity or date night over Halloween weekend!
Entries will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021. The Halloween at Lake Lorraine Planning Committee will determine the winner(s). Judging will take place the week of Oct. 24 and the winners announced shortly thereafter.
Jaycee Feargrounds Kid’s Day
SUNDAY, October 24th AT 2 PM – 4 PM
Kid’s Day is a fun, non-scary afternoon for younger children to enjoy Halloween festivities at the Jaycees Feargrounds! The haunted house is brightly lit for children to trick-or-treat through the maze filled with non-scary characters passing out candy, and many other activities to enjoy.
Ages: 12 and under (One (1) adult per child is welcome to enter for FREE)
Admission: $8
With Canned Food Donation for Feeding South Dakota: $7
