I know my website is all about being local – as in Sioux Falls and places within a small radius – but when I saw this story this morning, I felt like I had to share it!
If you follow ESPN, then I am guessing you have seen their story on this already – I saw the title that the Yankees will face the White Sox in Iowa, and to play at the Field of Dreams field – and I may have yelled “WHAT!?!” a little too loudly!
Field of Dreams was a great movie from way back in 1989 starring Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones
They will be building a temporary, 8,000-seat ballpark where the 1989 movie was filmed in Dubuque County, Iowa, near Dyersville. The game will be held Aug. 13, 2020.
I am guessing tickets won’t be easy to get – but this would be an amazing event to attend – it is ONLY 368 miles away from here – a quick 5 and half hour drive 🙂
